Advocates for Children is a community-based non-profit organization that fosters programs to prevent child maltreatment and empower children and families to live healthy and productive lives.

Located in downtown Lewiston, Maine, our Parent Resource Center is an invaluable resource for families with children of any age. The PRC offers interactive parent-child playgroups, an extensive lending library, and many classes and workshops on various parenting topics.

Annual Appeal

Advocates for Children is grateful for your financial support. With YOUR help, we reach out to children and parents. Donations make possible our efforts to keep children safe. Our work involves educating, supporting and celebrating families through home, group and center-based programs. Ways your contribution helps:

• $500 provides three months of educational home visits to a parent with a new baby

• $100 delivers personal safety, abuse prevention and anti-bullying training to 50 elementary students

• $25 offers a scholarship for a divorcing or separating parent to learn how to lessen the effect of divorce on his or her child by attending KidsFirst
