School Education Programs
teach children skills and information they can use to help protect themselves from abuse.  Our educators work with children and teens encouraging them to solve problems without violence.  We provide educational opportunities for parents and professionals as well, providing
up-to-date information on child abuse and neglect, and how they can help the kids in their lives be safe.

 
 

Our programs provide:

  •  Classroom-based prevention programs for children and teens grades K-12. Specific topics include:

Personal Body Safety
   - Sexual Abuse Prevention
   - Sexual Harassment
   - Physical Abuse Prevention
   - Emotional Abuse Prevention
   - Taking Responsibility

 
  •  Classroom-based violence prevention programs for children grades K-6. Specific topics include       - Win-Win Problem Solving
  - Conflict Resolution Skills
  - Diversity Awareness
  - Bullying Prevention Program.
 
  •  Mediation Training for adolescents in grades 6 though 12.
 
bullet Parent information nights are designed to familiarize parents with Advocates for Children's classroom programs. 
 
bullet Parent Workshops designed to provide parents with education and information. Specific topics include: How to Talk to Your Kids About Body Safety, Fighting Fair for Families, and Protecting Your Children Online.
bullet Professional development training programs for professionals through workshops and in-service trainings about child abuse and conflict resolution.
Specific topics include:  Mandated Reporter, Understanding & Responding to Sexual Behaviors, Conflict Resolution, Bullying Prevention and Online Child Exploitation.
 
bullet Responding to Child Abuse, a 45-hour course, deals with various aspects of child abuse prevention and intervention, providing prevention and intervention, providing participants with continuing education credits.
