Who is this program for?
Kids First^SM is a four-hour educational program that targets parents who are in the process of separation or divorcing, and wish to lessen the negative impact experienced by their children.

Why is this important?
More than one million children are affected by separation/divorce alone each year, with nearly 8,000 divorces filed in Maine every year. In many situations children are caught in the middle of angry parents, leaving children with permanent scars.

When is it offered?
Parents are encouraged to attend the program as early as possible in the separation or divorce process. It is held one Saturday per month.

How much does it cost?
The fee is $60 per person. To ensure enrollment, please register no later than ONE week in advance. If you have questions, please call Advocates for Children at 783-3990.
